User tests plugs + panels 14/05

With the prototype of the panels, plugs and modules, we did user test to:

• See whether they understand the functionality of the panels, plugs and modules
• Test the possible lay outs of the panels and how the users like it best
• What is the best layour for the project modules?

We asked the test persons to use our prototype and gave them all the tools without saying what they had to do with it. After that we asked them to order the panel how they would do it.

• Perceptible affordances: The user test showed us that is was clear that they could open the modules, put the plugs in the panels and hang the modules on the panels
• Hidden affordances: The users did not percieve the possibility to place papers on the panels for inspiration or to make a planning.

=> To make clear that it is possible to make a planning on your panel, and to use it as an inspiration board, we drew lines on the panels to make frameworks in A3 of A4 format -> semantics
